CellGen is a very unique supplement whose ingredients have the ability to move from the bloodstream into the brain to nourish and energize brain cells. It is truly a product created using the most advanced biotechnology and scientific research. CellGen is an excellent combination of the most effective natural nutrients that feed the mitochondria which give the brain energy.
Studies have shown that mitochondrial decay is a very significant factor in aging and age-related degeneration such as memory loss, learning deficit, and motor dysfunction. The ingredients in CellGen are uniquely combined to complement each other's functions and offer maximum effectiveness for brain cell revitalization. Its antioxidant properties also help to protect the nervous system from oxidative damage, slow neurodegeneration, and provide optimal functioning for the body's immune system.
In 1901, the average life expectancy was 49 years old. By the end of the 20th century, our life expectancy increased to 77 years old. That is a 57% increase. As a result of this increase, the over 60 crowd is growing by leaps and bounds. With this large increase, we have also seen equal growth in chronic, debilitating diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, type II diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. So what can we deduce from these facts? That people are living longer, yes, but with what quality of life?
Western medicine is outstanding in acute care treatment. However, it falls terribly short in treating chronic disease. As a case in point, most doctors are at a loss when it comes to effectively preventing or delaying the many symptoms of premature aging. Most of them have been taught to accept the symptoms as a fact of growing older and to prescribe a drug that suppresses the symptoms without actually addressing the underlying problem. But there is good news! Scientists are discovering new evidence that dispels this belief. It is becoming increasingly clear that not only can we delay the onset of many of the symptoms of aging, but we can actually reverse some of the effects. One of the most recent theories of aging is the “Theory of Mitochondrial Decay.”
Research conducted by Dr. Jiankang Liu, an Assistant and Associate Research Professor of the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology at the University of California at Berkeley and staff scientist at Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute (C.H.O.R.I.) determined that mitochondrial decay is a significant factor in the premature symptoms of aging. Mitochondria are tiny organelle in most of our cells that are responsible for energy production. They take specific nutrients from the food we eat and convert them into the energy our brain and muscles need in order to function most efficiently. Mitochondria become very fragile with age and their function is particularly susceptible to oxidative damage from free radicals. Free radicals are a natural by-product of metabolism and easily disposed of when kept in check by antioxidants. Antioxidants are powerful nutrients that scavenge these free radicals.
Dr. Liu and Dr. Iris Wang found a direct correlation between the increase in mitochondrial damage and premature age-related symptoms such as motor dysfunction, memory loss, type II diabetes, and dementia. When the mitochondria were protected and the damage repaired, many of these symptoms were slowed and in some cases even reversed.
The challenge these scientists faced was that our brains have a protective coating over them called the “blood-brain barrier.” This “blood-brain barrier” is designed to protect our brains by keeping out harmful toxins. However, this same protective barrier may also keep out many vital nutrients.
Dr. Liu also discovered that certain beneficial nutrients could actually penetrate this “blood-brain barrier” and in doing so, have a dramatic impact on the nurturing and rejuvenation of the mitochondria in the brain. CellGen’s antioxidant properties also help slow the natural decrease in cell tissues, protect the nervous system from oxidative damage, and benefit the immune system.
Many research articles have been published showing the benefits and regenerative capabilities of CellGen’s ingredients,to which Amkey has been granted the exclusive sales and distribution rights until the year 2016. This research is the basis for Amkey’s unique product, CellGen.

Acetyl-L-carnitine transports fatty acids into the mitochondria. Fatty acids are used by the mitochondria for energy production. It was approved by the FDA as a drug in the 1980’s for treatment by physicians in cardiovascular diseases such as cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure (CHF). It was also used to treat diseases caused by muscle wasting such as chronic fatigue syndrome. In 1994, acetyl-L-carnitine was taken off the drug list, making it available as a supplement to the general public. Acetyl-L-carnitine has also been found to be useful in cases of stroke and nerve regeneration after injury. A study of Alzheimer patients conducted at Stanford University showed a dramatic improvement in memory and cognitive function in patients under the age of 62. The patients over the age of 62 did not show as dramatic an improvement in memory as did the previous group; however, they did show the same dramatic improvement in nerve regeneration and motor function.
Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is a unique and powerful antioxidant. What makes this antioxidant so unique is that it is both water and fat soluble. This means that not only is it easily absorbed into water-based tissues such as the heart and muscle tissues, but it is also easily absorbed into fat-based tissues, such as nerve tissue. Researchers have found that ALA can help repair nerve damage caused by the debilitating effects of diabetes, such as diabetic neuropathy, which may lead to loss of vision and numbness in the extremities. Along with repairing nerve damage, ALA also improves insulin metabolism. ALA protects nerve cells and also preserves brain cells from further damage following a stroke. It helps to boost glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that our body produces naturally and is crucial to the optimal functioning of the immune system.
Choline is part of the B-vitamin complex. It is needed to make acetylcholine, which is an important neurotransmitter. Neurotransmitters are messengers passing information from one nerve ending to another. So when a person suffers a stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or any type of nerve damage where the nerve pathways have been damaged or destroyed, acetylcholine helps repair that damage. People with low levels of acetylcholine have been found to suffer from memory loss and motor dysfunction.
Creatine monohydrate is an important compound that is manufactured by the liver. As we age, our liver does not function as effectively as it should and our bodies produce less creatine. Creatine is a precursor to creatine phosphate and is essential in the ADP/ATP energy pathway that occurs in the mitochondria of our muscles. Our muscles use adenosine triphosphate (ATP) for energy by splitting off one of the phosphate molecules. When this happens it produces adenosine diphosphate (ADP). To complete the energy pathway and make ATP again, another phosphate needs to be added to ADP. That phosphate is provided by creatine phosphate. Without adequate amounts of creatine monohydrate, the energy pathway cannot function as it should and as this energy production process stops, our bodies begin to slow down and lose muscle mass.
